It's a Blessing to Meet You!

I am a Certified Doula, RN and an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant. I have over 20 years of RN experience in Labor and Delivery and Postpartum patient care.  I have been asked why I want to make the switch from RN to Doula. It is because I want to move away from the medical role and provide birth doula and postpartum doula services that are only focused on YOU!  I want to support you with birth preparation through education and guidance.  Birth doula support advocates for you and provides emotional and hands on labor support. The journey is completed with continued postpartum support, newborn support and lactation support.  Pregnancy, labor and childbirth are beautiful!  I love the all the births-natural birth or medicated birth, hospital or home birth, I am here for you!  I had two of my children with no epidural. In hindsight, I realize my labors would have been a much better experience with doula support and education.  I want to help women to feel informed and empowered, while also being able to advocate for themselves. My experience has prepared me to be able to guide you through the decision making process if/when any medical interventions are presented.  I am passionate about bridging the gap between women who want the most natural birth possible and medical providers who want to provide safe care.
